Okay all, it's time to begin to think about New Year's Resolutions! We need some good ones this year. No lame fake ones. And no doing what I've traditionally done: set a goal so ridiculously easy that you're sure to accomplish it within a day or so just to have an overwhelming sense of accomplishment to begin the new year. (Such as, "This year, I resolve to learn how to say 'milk' in Spanish," or "This year, I resolve to be able to pick up that football with my feet.") It's good for the ego, not so good for actually getting anything done. So for now, let's get a list going of our most ill-conceived past resolutions and we'll revisit the topic in a few weeks to list our actual resolutions for '06.

I want to use fewer adjectives. That's going to be a resolution to keep. It's going to be a year.
