This is Nikolas. He lives right here near me in Central Texas. He is nine years old. He loves going to camps and playing sports. Congenital Muscular Dystrophy is slowly robbing him of his strength. The day will come when he can't play anymore.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is researching a cure. As of now one does not exist. Research of this kind costs an average of $65/minute. The MDA does not charge for its services which include top notch medical care through their clinics, assistance with the purchase of wheelchairs and leg braces, week-long summer camps at the Greene Family Camp in Bruceville and Camp John Marc in Meridian, and several other services.

I'm headed to jail on Thursday to help raise money for MDA research. That's only a day away! There's still time to donate, though. Go to my MDA site and make the donation online.
