More

Cachinnatees, I love a good laugh. I think you know that by now. But I find myself wanting to do more with this blog.

Don't freak out on me, I'm not going all serious on you. I promise to keep the same attitude and keep the cachinnation catching. But my great loves in life, faith and art, are going to start showing up here more and more. I know I've touched on them in the past, but I intend to post on them, especially their interaction, more in the future.

For those of you who aren't artists or Christians, please keep coming back; You're my primary audience. I promise not to be too artsy or get preachy on you. I would hope that you would find the discussions here very interesting and I especially love to hear what you've got to say in response.

I've also already thought up a way to avoid being too long winded here! I've created a supplement to this blog where I will put full texts of things that I may only highlight here. So if you're interested in continuing something I start here, surf over and enjoy! The first post over there is a reposting of a previous discussion about Faith and the Arts, (particularly acting), based on a Q&A held by Rev. Timothy Keller of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in NYC and a group of actors. In another day or so, I'll be posting part of a lengthy discussion about Biblical inspiration/authority that I've been a part of on the Five Cent Stand blog.

In all, I will be using material from here and there to compile at least one manuscript and probably two for books that I want to write. Of course, the more you input, the better the end result will be. I am really looking forward to all of this and I hope you'll stick around for the ride!

But, if after everything I've said, you're still afraid that this site won't be any fun any more, here's a short preview of some coming posts and events: a story about me breaking my fly on a date in high school, The Cachinnator Fantasy Football League, Asian misspellings of popular American Thanksgiving foods, Bert driving my car, the Dr. Pepper Museum, the return of the Magic Word Game, Project Big Boy success, and more! See you around!

Sounds great...as long as you keep Einstein! :) And I'm looking forward to the Asian mispellings (did I spell mispelling right?) of Thanksgiving foods.
