Humanitarian of the Year

Posted by Anonymous On 12:22 AM

Tonight with my church small group we were talking about what practical things we are doing in our lives for those in need.

The group was uncomfortably silent for a brief moment. I didn't want to jump right in lest I seem the braggart, but after a modest pause I told the group about the number one practical thing that I do for those in need.

"I wink at chubby girls to.. you know... give them a little thrill. 'Cause no one really winks at chubby girls."

I'm available for motivational speaking engagements and humanitarian awards.

7 Cachinnations

  2. The Cliff Said,

does it give them the same little thrill if it's a chubby guy winking at them?

  3. Anonymous Said,

I give of what I have, bastard. Maybe you should try to do something for those in need instead of being so selfish.

    I'm a giver.

  5. Anonymous Said,

I love reading your blog, Scott--especially when you punctuate correctly. The comma before the noun of direct address "bastard" is most impressive.

You must've had a phenomenal English teacher in high school. . .

  6. Anonymous Said,

I did have a phenomenal English teacher in high school, my Viking-esque mystery commenter.

I make every effort to observe the rules of grammar and style. Be assured that when I violate a rule it is usually intentional. There is no excuse for shabby composition - even on a blog.

I'll cite the above as merely one more reason that I'm sure to be up for a number of humanitarian awards in the near future.

  7. Anonymous Said,

See--now you can join those of us who say "Words is my bidness" even in the blogosphere! That's a humanitarian effort if I ever heard one.

    Regards to Brett and Holly!

P.S. I would've loved to see you in Reduced Shakespeare! You must've been in your element.
