What do you think?

  1. Tracy Said,

I love the new look, but it's a little hard to read the white text against the pale yellow background. Anyway to make it a darker color? Very fun new look!

  2. Anonymous Said,

I'm still fine-tuning it. I'll keep experimenting with the text colors. Does the light blue for the links work? How about the red for the in-line links?

Thank you, Kat. It took years of braces, retainers, and orthodontics. I earned them.

  3. Anonymous Said,

I think I'm done monkeying with it. Is it legible now? I think with an increased font size and a different font, the white text works. Yes? No?

    Odd, but Enjoyable.

  6. Meg Said,

It looks good, but it is harder to read on a photo background rather than on a solid color.

  7. Fork Said,

    Cach is so...big.

  8. Dr. T Said,

Can cach send Dr. T an email explaining how he pulled this off without the picture moving in the background?

And cach is...very large, gotta agree.

  9. Sarah Said,

Try bold black text to contrast the yellow. That will be much easier on the eyes. I'm struggling to read the white.

I think my word verification "hhyrkp" could be another one of your 15 ways to say "throw up".

  10. Anonymous Said,

How do we like the black and new font now? I'll keep adjusting until we're all happy!

  11. Fork Said,

As cool as the effect is, I still don't know how I feel about Cachzilla.

  12. Tracy Said,

Easier to read now, Cach! Cool new look!

  13. Meg Said,

I think the white was easier, but it's hard any color you pick b/c it will scroll over different colors in the background. So it's a tough call.

  14. Sarah Said,

    much better!

  15. Sarah Said,

Try Blue. You have red, black, white, and yellow all in the background. Designer's advice...go with a color that isn't in the background.

  16. It's light blue right now, and I think that's better than any of the other colors I saw earlier.

It certainly is different and unique in its new appearance, isn't it?

I think it's the fact that the background is so busy (and not either predominantly dark or prodominately light) that makes it a little harder to pick out the text now, compared to a more solid colored background.

But as with anything new, we will get used to it eventually. You certainly won't have new people showing up and saying "Hey, do you have a photo gallery here? I want to know what you look like." :-)

  17. Anonymous Said,

I think the light blue will work. What do the rest of you think? I'll keep working on it. The background is mostly solid, so I am hoping to find the right combination of font and color. I think it's fun. It sure is different!

  18. Other miscellaneous observations:

-The clock on the wall there beside you is right only twice a day.

-My, what big teeth you have!

-What were you eating right before this photo was taken? 'Cuz I think there's a little something extra there in your facial hair.

-And speaking of hair, I think it's time for somebody to invest in a good nose-hair/ear-hair trimmer.

-Okay, I was just kidding with those last two. Maybe I'm just jealous because I'm kinda homely, and wouldn't stand up to such close scrutiny if my face was all giant on everyone's monitor like that.

  19. Anonymous Said,

Hammer... are you hitting on me?

Kidding. But, as much as I love that clock, I am reshooting the picture without it. I hope I can keep the proportions and angle the same as much as possible. I'll have it up in a sec. Tell me how you like it now!

  20. Anonymous Said,

very cool...i wish I had the time to do cool things on the computer...and the picture without the clock is cool. The Text on your sound bites is very difficult to read because of the white sides. Other than that...awesome!!!
