Poll Results 7/9/06

Posted by Anonymous On 11:59 PM

Well, as last week's poll stated, the year is half over. Can you believe that? Half gone already! Halfway to 2007! Whoa. I've still got a lot to do.

So as for the poll... it appears that we are an almost even match between smooth sailing and blind terror. Most of us felt the panic of having done nothing, but just one vote behind was the feeling that everything was going just fine. Anyone care to share why the fear? Why the feeling that you've gotten nowhere? Anyone have a good excuse, or is it just laziness?

And while we're on the subject of half the year being past, does anyone care to share an update on a New Years Resolution? Anyone kept theirs? Abandoned theirs? Made a new one? Anyone want to make a Mid-Year Resolution?

And, it's new poll time, of course. This one is based on a recent post. It's time to vote for the creepiest toy!

Also, check in with Einstein. He's brilliant.

  1. Seth Ward Said,

Actually, I just started a resolution back a few weeks ago and it is going great. I have pretty much stopped eating non-organic food and I mostly eat veggies, fruit, and fish. I have lost 7 pounds in the past few weeks because of it and that is WITHOUT doing Yoga lately becasue it is so friggin expensive.

I still can't seem to keep my car clean, and I still can't make it to bed before 2 a.m.

I want to read Aquinas's Suma Theologica before the end of the year and maybe Les Miserables. I finished Augustine's City of God and I have decided that the last chapter on heaven is about the most amazing thing i have read outside Romans 8 and The gospel of John.

I also need stop procrastinating and write my dissertation. That is my biggest year resolution/goal.

I also would like to get very rich this year. Does that count as a resolution? Maybe I'll try that Jabez business.

  3. operamom Said,

i'm getting in on this late...my mid-year resolution is to not take anything personally, and only have thoughts about the future, and none about the past.
