Beeki (from a previous conversation): ... like Penélope Cruz.
Cach (doing a Cruz impression): Red dress? Strappy sandals?
Beeki: Actually the Spanish version of Vanilla Sky was pretty good.
Don Boscoe: Abre los ojos?
Beeki: Yeah. Open Your Eyes.
DD Beffy: You know what I want to see? Vulva... I mean Volver! ... Dammit... that's going to end up on your blog, isn't it?

  2. Another new word for the blogtionary.

Blodder - Blog fodder. Something said during a conversation which is so obviously fodder for a blog, that even the speaker must immediately acknowledge it.

Beeki, no Peter Gabriel song sucks. It simply doesn't happen.

Beffy... so you're saying that Boscoe makes you say vulva?

    Hammer, good call.

I am curious to see what this post does to the people who wander here through random google searches. I can't wait to see what people were looking for when they got here...

  4. Anonymous Said,

Is it bad that I've become completely addicted to your blog? Do I need to go to Blogger's Anonymous???

Hello, my name is StarDiva, and I'm a blog addict....

    *sigh*

    I need a life.

By the way Cach, could you post a little more often? Just sayin'...

Sorry there, StarDiva. I try to post daily, but work's been a bit much lately. I apologize. I'll try to get back on it.

Work. What are you gonna do? You should try it sometime.

Badoozer, only the good stuff for me and mine.

  6. Seth Ward Said,

Someone told me the spanish version was good and so I watched it. I didn't think it was that good.

  7. Tracy Said,

Cach, you're so good to your friends! I LOVE the engagement photo of you and Beeki! Who took that? Such a great pose...probably because it doesn't look posed. It looks like the photographer just caught a precious moment. Of course, it probably was posed, but being two actors, you had a little "public solitude". Way to go!

  8. Meg Said,

I saw Volver in the fall. The movie was well done, and Penelope Cruz did an excellent job. Still, I had a problem with the movie. I feel about it the way I feel about all those Lifetime movies. Sure, they raise awareness about problems and struggles that women face, and sure, many of those problems come because of really crappy men in their lives. But, can you not please present at least one positive male role in your film? I leave those type of movies having had my emotions manipulated and thinking that all men are evil, and what is helpful about that? So I'd rather not see such one-sided versions, and rather than just portraying the problem, let's see some solutions that present positive men, empowering male role models. But hey, that's just my opinion on the film.
