Big Brother vs. The Crackhead

Posted by Anonymous On 10:02 AM

Whoa, there! Am I the only one a little bit bothered by this ad? How does the government know that? Are they spying on my mom? Is this a Patriot Act thing? I've never felt "Big Brother" so keenly as when I first saw this banner ad on a webpage I was recently visiting.

I demand answers! Did the government put her in a cartoon? Why is her government cartoon house smaller than all the others? What does the government have against my mom? Is that some kind of statement about her being a crackhead? I'm very disturbed by these stereotypes. That's an awfully winding road near her cartoon house. Shouldn't the government have surveyed that better? Shouldn't they fix it now that it's an obvious safety hazard? Answer me, government!

And besides, it's an ad for making an emergency plan. I don't know where my mom is right now. If the government does then I say it's their responsibility to take care of my mom.

It's the least they could do after spying on her.

  1. FancyPants Said,

Perhaps this is the government's new form of a Witness Protection Program. I mean, who can get to you if you're a cartoon??!!

Does your mom, by chance, have any long overdue student debt payments?

  2. Does anybody know what the Ad Council actually is?

I see that little label on TV commercials and in various other places, but don't actually know anything about it.

Maybe it's sort of cloak-and-dagger like the Trilateral Commission or something.
