I've done it, Cachinnatees. I just called my cable company and applied my techniques from my guide to get the best cell phone deal.

I got the other offer in writing. I studied my current deal to know what the differences were. I called my company, reminded them of my loyalty, and gave them the opportunity to beat the other offer. Of course, they did. So without having to go through the trouble of changing companies, I saved $40/month off my bill, added a second DVR, got HD channels, and got unlimited long distance on my home phone. Ta-da!

It works, folks. Go back over that guide. Read it through. It will help you save money.

Now it's about time I got an upgrade on mine and Beeki's cell phones and saved a bit of money there too... bwaa haa haa!!!

***UPDATE***

I did call Sprint and got the best advertised price for a pair of Palm Centros for me and Beeki. All it took was a threat to leave for AT&T since they'd give me the Centros for free. So I got my phones and didn't have to pay a cancellation fee and set up new service.
