While having a discussion with some of my younger cousins about tastes in music that they may also appreciate, the following happened:


Cach: ... I also like Linkin Park and the Foo Fighters.

Cousin: I like food fights too. We had one at my school last year.


Yes, this was with a cousin who has some special needs, but the great thing was that no on in the family missed a beat. We just transitioned to a conversation about food fights. Now that's a loving family regardless of how nuts we may be.
