No, the title of this post isn't referring to people who like Two and a Half Men. It's referring to a reaction I'm having to one of two things. You see, last night I felt a very sore throat coming on. I thought it was a cold, so I decided to start sucking on zinc lozenges. Then this morning I woke up and it was worse. At Beeki's suggestion, I took a Benadryl because she thought that the swelling I was feeling might be indicative of allergy problems.
Well, at any rate I started feeling a little better. But I lost my sense of taste. And I don't know if it's due to the Benadryl or the zinc lozenges. Do any of you know? I know, I know... I could just Google it, but did I mention that I took Benadryl? I'm drowsy and lethargic. So do any of you know?

According to Benadryl's website, hayfever suffers can lose their sense of taste, but not from Benadryl...from the hayfever.
Oh!....here it is! The Complete Idiot's Guide to Vitamins and Minerals says:
"If you take a lot of them (zinc lozenges), they can affect your sense of taste and smell--your sense of taste and smell should return to normal a few days after you stop taking the extra zinc."

I think they're already wearing off. My juice doesn't taste like crap anymore... but it still doesn't taste like juice again yet. Thanks, doc.

Sounds like a stroke.
Either that or taste-bud cancer. Also, i've heard that going long periods without wiping can effect your taste as the smell overwhelms your senses.
It's the zinc. That crap does weird stuff. It never did a darn thing for me but make everything tasteless.

I think it's well-established that I don't listen.
