NPR loves me. You read that right, not I love them - they love me. Don't get me wrong, I do love them, but that's not the point of this post.
They invite me to the studios as regularly as possible to help out with their pledge drives and to do updates on the Arts. Why do they ask me over? Is it my charm? My way with words? My ability to inspire people? My keen wit? My insider knowledge? Maybe.
More than likely it's the fact that when I get on air, I lack a functioning filter between my brain and mouth. I seriously evaluate every thought before it becomes a spoken word, but for some reason when I'm on air my evaluating mechanism is usually drunk.
I present Exhibit A, my recent testimonial that they're running on our local NPR station. Enjoy!

Oh, that was funny. I think you should definitely keep going on NPR, if only so we can enjoy the outcome.
