I didn't like them. Well, I liked the one in sepia where the runner from Athens couldn't finish and his dad helped him to the finish line. That almost makes my shriveled and dead little soul spring to life. Still no tears, but close.
But by and large, I hated them. Is this seriously as far as culture has progressed? How many Chinese stereotypes could be crammed in to one commercial break?
The energy commercial where the Chinese peasants take food for the dragon to heat their water? The McDonald's commercial where the kids do kung-fu over a chicken nugget?
They all seemed like the semi-grownup 2008 version of "Me Chinese, me play joke, me put pee-pee in your Coke."
Ugh.

By the way, how great is that painting that I linked to? I'd buy that. That's hilarious.
Making fun of people? Not cool. Making fun of people making fun of people? Somehow it equals awesome.
