SRB

Do those initials mean anything to any of you?

Think back to 1986. The Challenger. That's the part that failed. The Solid Rocket Booster. I'll never forget that.

Why, you ask? Because SRB are my initials. Thaaaaat's right. In 1986, when I was 8, all the kids in my 3rd grade class told me that I caused the Challenger explosion.

I had completely blocked it all out until the other day when I was listening to the news on the radio and they were talking about a shuttle launch and mentioned the SRB. With no warning it all came flooding back and I was that eight-year-old boy again.

I blew up the Challenger.

Kids suck.

  1. Red Said,

When you are teaching your future children about how to treat and interact with other children...leave out that story.

BTW-I immediately thought of your initials, not the challenger, when I saw the title of your post. =)

  4. Anonymous Said,

I was told NASA meant Need Another Seven Astronauts.

I remember the challenger and I was not 8. I did not realize you were such a young pup.
