I'll be there the next few days to sit on a panel for the Texas Commission on the Arts. I only found out about this last week, so it's kind of hurried. In fact... I think I might have written myself a letter of recommendation.You see, I was asked a few weeks ago to write a letter of recommendation for a theatre company here in Tejas. We'll call them The Dallas Children's Theatre since that's their name. So I did. Then I was asked to sit on this panel. I just got my materials to review for the rest of the week a few days ago. My task is to review the applications of various artists and arts groups around the state to decide if they're eligible for TCA and NEA funds. So I look at my roster that I'll be reviewing, and lo and behold, DCT is one of my groups. So I may in fact get to read a letter of recommendation by me to me. That'll be sweet.
So I may be a bit scarce the next few days. Or maybe I'll be hitting all the bars on 6th Street to see how much trouble I can photo-document. No I won't. But I might. No I won't. I won't. But if I do, I'll post it here. But I won't do it, so I won't have anything to post. But keep reading just in case. Total waste of time. Riiiiiight.
