eHarmony Pressure

Recognize that couple? Yeah, they're the ones in all the eHarmony commercials. I see them all the effin' time. I never really listened to what they were actually saying though. I didn't really listen much this last time either, but I did catch them say that they'd been married for a year and a half.

... and I couldn't help but wonder about the pressure. I'm serious. A year and half into the marriage? They've just gotten to know each other. He's comfortable farting anytime anywhere now and she's fine with not being in the mood. And they're the face of happy marriage in America. You think maybe they're just staying together for the commercial dough sometimes? Like some days they have conversations like this:

Him: Where do you want to go to dinner tonight? Chilis?

Her: That's fine. I didn't feel like getting dressed up anyway.

Him (Muttering): Yeah, God forbid you put on any makeup when the cameras aren't on.

Her: Oh, I'm sorry; What I meant was, "Chili's? How refreshing: someplace cheap enough that we can keep living off the commercial money so you don't have to actually get a job."

Is that wrong of me to wonder about that? I'm just sayin'...
