If It's Possible...

...I just got even cooler.

What I told you is that I'm playing Fat Jesus. What it seems that I've omitted is that I'm wicked famous.

Check out this article from the front page of The Hammond Daily Star newspaper. Here's my favorite quote:

"Our community is very fortunate to have Scott here for this powerful musical," said John Bostic, director of the combined choirs. "He is very hard to schedule, and the choirs and I are excited about him being available for this Palm Sunday occasion."

In the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that John Bostic and I are very close old friends. But I'm not interested in full disclosure, especially when it makes me look less cool. So I won't mention that fact.

I'll do everything I can to get audio or visual material from this trip.

9 Cachinnations

  1. Full disclosure takes away the magic and the wonder.

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

  2. The Cliff Said,

you're like the Brad Pitt of Hammond!!! i love the fact that you are hard to Schedule...little do they know that it's Bert and Ernie who take up most of your time. I hope there are Paparazzi are waiting for you at the airport. Crazy Backwards Cajun's with old Polaroids snapping shots of you as you get off of the tiny little plane

  4. Unknown Said,

    Hey scott.
Emily Ingram here. I blog-stalk you while bored at The Paper. I love that my fellow reporting organization mentioned you were recently honored with "Wacoanian of the Year". Didn't know you won that one, too.

  6. Anonymous Said,

I wondered if anyone would catch that. I'm just piling up the awards here. Prize to you, Emily.

But don't worry, even though other papers are writing about me, y'all are still my baby.

(I may never get to say something like that again, so you'll please indulge me as I'm amused by the whole situation.)

  7. Add one more coincidence to the on-going freak show that is our curiously intersecting lives, Scott. I was born in Hammond, LA. Seriously, folks, you can't make up stuff like this.
