The Producers

Last night we had The Producers at my theatre. It was a blast! It was the second time I've seen the show and it really is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. If you have an opportunity to see it wherever you live then take it. If you live in Waco and missed it last night... we're fighting.

If I asked you to email me with questions about my life, I would bet that many of you would have emailed me about my theatre. Who comes to the shows? Who works for the Cachinnator? What is show night like? Well I can now answer all of those questions that I assume you might have asked thanks to another slideshow from the Waco Tribune-Herald. You can view it in its original context here. But it's more fun with my commentary:

Here's the Cachinnator with his mommy, the Crackhead.
She's the best mommy in the world. Isn't she great? I'm creating
a fan club for her. You'd join, right? But who else is at the theatre?

In the middle is one of the Cachinnator's employees
with her boyfriend/friend/unknown quantity on the left.
On the right is Pete the masseur. He's one of our volunteers.
Who else do we have?

We have white folks!

And black folks!

We have young folks!

And old folks!

We have folks who obviously shop for glasses together.

In short, we have all kinds of folks at the theatre. It's starting to become something that people from all over Waco are embracing. And I think it's making our city a better place to live in.

Okay. Now I'm going to go to bed early and get the sleep I should have gotten last night. There's a new poll posted on the right. According to the results of the last one, we have a tie among people who think that Beeki's food rules are absolutely normal and acceptable and people who think that her general ban on seafood is ridiculous. But before she attempts to triumph and claim that her rules are normal, it should be noted that the vote was 15-6 of people against her rules to those for her rules. I love her either way. She's pretty and she's visiting her folks this weekend.

Have a good weekend!

  1. I would definitely join The Fan Club.

Glad to hear that your theatre is doing so well! It's encouraging to know that there are still people out there who appreciate the sublime.
