Last night, I had Carlos Mencia at my theatre to do his stand-up show. It was great. He and the openers were all hilarious. We're already planning to do it again.



One thing though... until last night, I had very little awareness of my cracker-ness. It's true: I'm really really white.

    Mencia is a hilarious guy. He's definitely one of those people who gets away with saying things that other people aren't allowed to say.

    There was a time when people knew how to laugh at themselves, and poke fun in a good-natured way at what makes us different and unique. But these days, everyone is just looking for someone to say the wrong thing in the wrong way so they can get all offended.

    I'm glad there's at least one guy like Mencia who can just say stuff, and you either take it or leave it, but either way, you can't be acting all offended at everything. It is what it is.
