Sights Seen Around Wacko II

It's a strange little city...

What do you say to a walking oven mitt?

Despite what Gray-ham might have you believe, Bert had not been drinking at the time this photo was taken.

Somehow... not very appetizing.

9 Cachinnations

  1. Sarah Said,

Have you seen the GhostBuster-mobile? I saw it two weeks ago cruising Valley Mills, blasting the theme song from big speakers on the roof.

  2. This town has a LOT of people standing on corners holding placards in front of restaurants. A lot. Even in the middle of August. The other day, there was this really nerdy teenage boy dancing with a sign in front of some pizza place. Like really boogeying down. It was weird.

Have you read the "Wacko" entry in Wikipedia? It's sort of amazing. Like, Dr Pepper and Big Red were both invented here. We practically have Dr Pepper flowing from the taps, but nobody ever mentions Big Red. It's like our shameful little ghetto secret. What gives?

  4. Okay, this is weird. I was tired when I looked at this post or something.

I scrolled quickly down the page, and I saw the picture of the dog at the steering wheel, and my eyes linked it to the comment above it, "What do you say to a walking oven mitt?", and for some reason I pictured the dog being a puppet, and thought you were calling him a walking oven mitt, and then I pictured somebody with his hand inside that dog like a puppet, removing a cookie sheet from the oven with chocolate chip cookies, all hot and delicious.

    Mmmmm. Cookies.

You may not have been drinking, but were possibly thinking of Alpo?

  7. Seth Ward Said,

    Book trivia:

What fat book character loved Dr. Nut more than any other drink?

  8. Anonymous Said,

I know, I know! But I'm not sure the rest of this confederacy of dunces will be able to figure it out...
