Well, it seems that most of you Cachinnatees are not planning to see the Da Vinci Code, although an equal number either said you would see it or you might see it. Without getting all foamin'-at-the-mouth, anyone care to say why?

10 Cachinnations

  1. Never read the book. I always try to avoid things that are too popular, though I usually cave in the end.

However, from what I've heard, I think I probably wouldn't like it anyway.

  2. Honestly? Indifference.

It's a "wait for the video" movie in my book, and even then I won't be falling all over myself to get into Blockbuster the day it comes out.

It'll be one of those things several months from now, where my wife and I are doing our usual "Why don't they have anything worth seeing here?" shuffle through Blockbuster. We'll see it there, say "Hey, we haven't seen this," and we'll rent it. Then we'll watch it and be disappointed, and wonder what all the fuss was about.

  3. By the way -- who, or what is that picture you put up with this post?

It looks like some sort of hazing ritual.

Why, foaming at the mouth, of course!

I read the book. I figure seeing the movie would be kind of redundant, you know, like getting the same information twice. I'm saying it would be kind of repetitive... you know.

  6. Anonymous Said,

I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait to see the movie. I read the book. I thought it was well written. I'm not feeble minded and have a strong faith, so I'm not quick to accept an idea from a fiction novel. Case to point, I think it's good to see things from various points of view, to help our own (or might I say...mine own) understanding and grow more rigid in our (my) faith. Not that I need that from a movie, but it's nice seeing what other people are thinking so I can understand where they are coming from. blah blah blah, I'll stop now! Have fun you all.

  7. Cach - No, I got that part.

But I meant, what is it really?

Ummmm... frat party? Do a google image search of 'foaming at the mouth.' There are worse ways to waste 5 minutes.

  9. Cach - Alrighty, I asked for it, I guess I got what I deserved.

It was something called "Amy's Party", and described as "Amy's first party in her new house".

It appears to be a bunch of people drinking alcohol and doing silly things. But because your little image of "Jennifer Foaming at the Mouth" wasn't sufficient, I got to see it at a lovely 1200 x 1600 resolution.

(And I still can't tell what she was actually hoping to achieve. But I had to ask, didn't I?)
